children's ukulele lessons

Music making is an incredibly powerful tool for children's development, allowing opportunities for not only creativity and musicality but also to improve language and communication skills and promote wellbeing and emotional regulation.

I love working with the younger generation and enjoy making sessions fun and rewarding.

I have an enhanced DBS check and have years of experience working in different settings with early years, children and young people of varying abilities, including SEN and PMLD.

I regularly lead music making sessions for dads and under 5's through Evolve Music and I also have experience of leading interactive music performances in schools with Live Music Now and Soundstorm Music Agency.

 

UKULELE LESSONS

The ukulele is a great instrument for musically inspired children to start with.

I work hard to build rapport with my young students, paying attention to detail, meeting the needs of each individual child and ensuring that workshops and lessons are fun, stimulating and educational.

30 or 45 minute long lessons are often most suitable for children and young people so this can be arranged.

​

Group lessons and workshops can also be arranged for community groups, home education groups, early years settings, schools and colleges.

Community Music Practitioner

A freelance music practitioner, leading community music workshops with children and young people through organisations such as Evolve Music, Live Music Now and Soundstorm.

I lead the "Dads Rock" project in Weston Super-Mare for Evolve Music. Through music, sound, stories, games and free play dads bond with their children, share their stories and support each other on their parenting journeys.

I'm training with and have supported Live Music Now's Inspire programme in a number of SEN/D schools, enriching their music provision and working with individuals and groups from primary to secondary ages.

Award winning music education agency, Soundstorm have booked me for a number of projects, including various school's interactive performances and co-leading their "PERFORM" project.

I have also completed the "Building Confidence in Music with Early Years" and "Enabling your musical environment" training with Take Art's Soundwaves Network.
